Today we created a fan page for Designers against AIDS on Facebook, where supporters can see recent updates, events and especially a lot of photos (more than we can put online here) and can also take part in interesting discussions and get to know other people who care about the same issues. 
As the World Cup is keeping football fans all over the world captivated, a former Belgian football hero has joined hands with Doctors without Borders to make sure people don't forget about that other big match:

Although Designers against AIDS mainly aims to inform youth about HIV/AIDS and the need for safe sex, we tend to branch out every now and then into unknown territory- not in the least because we’re a pretty curious bunch. 
We would like to invite all of you Tokio Hotel fans to The Texas Tokio Hotel fan Party on September 18, 2010 in Houston Texas at The Hard Rock Café. 
There does seem to be a need for better awareness about HIV/AIDS, if the results of a new MAC AIDS Fund-sponsored poll of 1,000 American women is any indication.

Among the survey's findings:

* Nearly three-quarters (73 per cent) of women surveyed do not know their current HIV status.

DAA has an exciting new creative invite designed not only to challenge young artists to create exciting, fresh and innovative designs but also to raise awareness of the importance of the fight against AIDS. 
We are currently on the look-out for a talented and well connected person who can help our organization with fundraising, building new partnerships and applying for subsidies from both Belgian- based and international organizations and foundations. 
An exhibition called 'Big Disease with a Little Name', curated by Piotr Piskozub & Michael James O'Brien as a tribute to Designers against AIDS, opened in a new exhibition space in Antwerp on 12 February 2010.
