Are you interested in helping to make the world a better place? Do you love pop culture and social media? Are you creative and communicative? A wizard with websites, a great photographer or designer, an independent thinker and/or can you talk the hind legs off a donkey? Do you have 8 weeks to spare next year(for instance during your gap year or because you’re between jobs)? Are you in your twenties? Then you might have what it takes to join one of our workshops in 2012!
Early September our next group of international young students at IHAEC are arriving from Ukraine, Italy and Spain and -among other things- they will work on a campaign that focuses on fashion.
For our upcoming fashion workshop from September 1- 30 on each working day from 10 AM- 6 PM, we are looking for one or two local, non- residential students (18-28) with an interest/expertise in fashion to join our international team –including three international workshop students- for the DAA Safe Sex Fashion Show project that will be held in English.Student volunteers will be tasked with the creation of a Safe Sex Fashion Show from concept to completion.
IHAEC is opening its doors on the 1st of December 2010 and we are currently looking for organizations that are interested in becoming an IHAEC partner.
As we all know, the most fun at any party is usually to be had in the kitchen and we expect the same to happen at our future workshops, so the kitchen there will be the real heart of the building!
The International HIV/AIDS Awareness Education Center (IHAEC) is DAA's training center in Antwerp, Belgium. IHEAC hosts international students, teaching them how to set up successful HIV prevention and awareness programs, using the same pop culture based methods as used by DAA. The students take this knowledge home, to build up equally successful campaigns in their countries of origin.
