The time has come. After nearly three months in Belgium I’m returning to my home country. Looking back at how it all started, I remember that I was originally in a different place, where I did not fit well. Luckily enough for me, I met half of the DAA team at a special reunion, and they brought me to this place. When I came here for the first time I instantly knew this was it. This is what I wanted. A place where I can do what I love, where I can socialize with nice people who share values with me.
What I enjoyed the most about this experience was meeting new people and being able to work for the field I am passionate about. Work was fun most of the time, although sharing on social media is not as fun.
One of the hardest parts of the experience was having to live all together as a community. Getting some alone time was rare. On the other hand, I did enjoy cooking for everybody somedays.
In any case, it was a learning experience. Thank you family for allowing me to come, and for letting me live in your house.
Over and out.
