It’s not only Rock’n’Roll Baby!
|
On June 20th Bozar in Brussels opens its doors with “It’s Not Only Rock’n’Roll, Baby” -a series of representative works by musicians from the 1970s to today, including Patti Smith, Brian Eno,Fischerspooner, Devendra Banhart and Yoko Ono. What is interesting here, is that for the first time, an exhibition shows the other history of rock: the story of musicians and artists who have all developed art and music in the same breath. The exhibition is curated by Jerome Sans -formerly director at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris- and is expected to draw big crowds.
Our friends Chicks on Speed are one of the special guests and they want to bring us to the Centre for Fine Arts! Thus, the visitors will be able to buy the T-shirts designed by the band (both limited edition wrap shirts from the DAA collection and 'Face It' tees from FAA), plus some other styles from the Fashion Against AIDS collection and Christophe Coppens’ “Crying Clown” tees. If you are in Brussels, don’t forget to drop by the Bozar and get one of our tees -and remember, you have time until September 14th to check out how Rock’n’Roll can be also colourful!
The artists:
Alan Vega, Antony, Bent van Looy (Das Pop), Bianca Casady (Cocorosie), Brian Eno, Chicks on Speed, David Byrne, Devendra Banhart, Fischerspooner, Jonsi Birgisson (Riceboy Sleeps), Kembra Pfahler, Kyle Field, Laurie Anderson, Miss Kittin, Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeah's), Patti Smith, Pete Doherty, The Kills, The Residents and Yoko Ono.
